The role of Housekeeping and Event Services at The Navigators at Glen Eyrie is integral in maintaining the property's high standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction. This position is designed to ensure a distraction-free, clean, and welcoming environment for all guests and staff on the premises. The individual in this role will be responsible for a wide range of duties including maintaining guest rooms, public spaces, and meeting rooms, as well as supporting event setup and guest services. This multifaceted position requires a strong commitment to professional standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented atmosphere.
Housekeeping responsibilities constitute approximately 70% of the role and include daily cleaning routines such as removing soiled linens and towels, sanitizing bathrooms, replenishing amenities, waste removal, dusting, and vacuuming carpeted areas. Additionally, the role involves deep cleaning tasks such as washing windows, walls, ceilings, and polishing woodwork to ensure the property maintains its aesthetic appeal and cleanliness standards.
Event Services, accounting for about 30% of the role, involve the physical setup of meeting rooms with chairs, tables, and equipment, delivering mail throughout the property, trash removal, and assisting guests with various needs such as luggage help, meeting setup, or box delivery. This role also encompasses participation in daily devotions, departmental meetings, and organizational gatherings that align with The Navigators' spiritual mission and community culture.

- At least three months of customer service experience preferred
- At least three months of professional cleaning or janitorial experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to perform routine tasks for long periods of time

Job Duties
- Conduct daily cleaning in guest rooms including removing soiled linens and towels, sanitizing bathrooms, replenishing amenities, removing waste, dusting surfaces, and vacuuming carpeted areas
- Clean public areas including lobbies, lounges, hallways, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other workspaces
- Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed such as washing windows, walls, ceilings, appliances, and polishing woodwork
- Clean and replenish amenities in meeting rooms
- Respond to immediate guest needs as required
- Physically set up meeting rooms including chairs, tables, and other equipment
- Deliver mail to all buildings
- Remove trash throughout the Glen Eyrie property
- Assist guests as needed with luggage, box delivery, meeting setup, and related tasks
- Participate in daily devotions, department meetings, organizational gatherings, and training seminars
- Submit time worked daily through the Workday Time Tracking system
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
