The role we are offering is for full-time Housekeepers within our Environmental Services Team, a critical part of maintaining the hospital’s commitment to health and cleanliness. Housekeepers play a vital role in ensuring patient and staff areas are clean, safe, and comfortable. This position focuses on cleaning patient exam and inpatient rooms, surgery suites, utility areas, as well as general areas throughout the facility. The role demands proficiency in using cleaning chemicals, equipment, and infection control methods to uphold the hospital’s quality standards.

Housekeepers demonstrate continual knowledge and skill in safe chemical handling, medical and hazardous waste removal, and infection prevention. In addition, effective communication skills are essential as housekeepers must speak, write, and understand English to perform their duties accurately and safely. The position includes options for day, evening, and night shifts with alternating weekends, and is a full-time role encompassing 80 hours per two-week pay period.

Employees in this role are eligible for a competitive salary ranging from $21.30 to $30.33 per hour based on experience, skills, and other factors. Job Requirements

  • ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • demonstrated ability in English required
  • no specific credentials required

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent experience preferred
  • one year of previous institutional cleaning experience preferably in hospital or hospitality environment
  • one year customer service experience
  • vocational training and certificate

Job Duties

  • perform housekeeping and related activities with focus on patient exam and inpatient rooms, surgery, utilities, and general environment
  • demonstrate proficiency in basic cleaning skills used in patient, staff, office, clinic, or visitor areas
  • use chemicals, equipment, cleaning techniques, and infection control methods safely
  • handle and remove medical and hazardous waste competently
  • maintain hospital physical environment at the highest level of cleanliness and infection control
  • speak, write, and understand English effectively
  • work rotating shifts including day, evening, and night with alternating weekends
