The Housekeeper position on the Environmental Services Team at Seattle Children’s is a full-time role instrumental in maintaining the hospital's cleanliness and infection control standards. This role specifically focuses on cleaning patient exam rooms, inpatient rooms, surgery areas, utilities, and general hospital environments. The housekeeper is responsible for demonstrating proficiency in the use of cleaning equipment, chemical agents, and infection prevention techniques to uphold the highest standards of environmental quality. Effective communication skills in English are required to ensure proper coordination and adherence to protocols.

Job Requirements

- one year previous institutional cleaning experience preferred
- one year customer service experience preferred
- vocational training and certificate preferred

- demonstrate knowledge and skill in safe use of chemicals, equipment, cleaning techniques, and infection control methods
- demonstrate ability to speak, write, and understand English
- competently handle and remove medical and hazardous waste
- maintain hospital environment at highest level of cleanliness from appearance and infection control standpoint
