The Housekeeping Aide role at the Fairview Community Health and Wellness Hub in St. Paul is a casual, on-call position designed to provide vital support in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Housekeeping Aides at Fairview play a fundamental role by adhering to relevant regulatory standards, policies, and procedures to uphold cleanliness and infection control. Working hours for this position are available in two main shifts: from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., allowing flexibility for individuals seeking part-time or casual employment. While previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred, it is not mandatory, making this an accessible employment opportunity for those interested in gaining experience within a healthcare setting.

Job Duties
- Maintain knowledge of and follow all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards
- Actively participate in crafting and implementing improvements to achieve positive clinical and efficient outcomes
- Clean all occupied rooms daily to create a sanitary and clean environment
- Prepare discharge units and surgical procedure rooms and complete end of day cleaning in surgical procedure rooms
- Maintain and clean attractive areas including hard surface and carpeted flooring, offices, public areas, and dispose of refuse
- Clean up after emergency spills and breakages to prevent exposure to safety hazards
- Restock paper supplies and maintain linen distribution system
- Mix, use supplies, and maintain equipment to aid in cost containment and safety
