This position is based at the Westin hotel located at 210 Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, Georgia. The role operates on a full-time basis during the evening shift, preferred by the employer, and is classified as a non-management position within the Housekeeping and Laundry department. As an essential seat in the housekeeping team, this role ensures the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall upkeep of guest rooms and public areas to the highest standards. The employee will use checklists to verify the condition and cleanliness of all assigned areas, identifying maintenance issues and either reporting or directly coordinating urgent repairs. Maintaining and storing cleaning equipment properly, promptly responding to guest requests and concerns, and completing all necessary documentation for the department are key responsibilities.

The individual in this role will also support the management team in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, disciplining, motivating, and developing other employees, serving as a role model for excellence. Adherence to company safety policies and procedures is mandatory, including reporting hazards and maintaining a professional appearance aligned with Westin’s standards. The role requires physical agility and stamina, as the work involves lifting, bending, climbing stairs or ramps, moving loaded carts, and using hands with fine motor coordination for tasks such as cleaning and equipment handling.

Job Duties

  • Utilize checklists to ensure cleanliness and condition of assigned areas meet standards
  • Identify and report preventive or maintenance issues in guest rooms and public areas
  • Request non-urgent preventive maintenance or repairs through appropriate channels
  • Contact other departments directly for urgent repairs
  • Clean, maintain, and store cleaning equipment
  • Document and report outstanding issues
