As a full-time, seasonal Housekeeping Aide at Hyatt Vacation Club, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the resort’s standards of cleanliness and guest service are upheld. This position involves working primarily on the first and second shifts, including weekends and holidays, which are crucial times for resort operations. The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for supporting the housekeeping team by maintaining cleanliness in public and guest areas, handling laundry services, and ensuring that all rooms and villas are inviting and comfortable for guests. Your duties will include responding promptly to guest and departmental requests, setting up furniture in guest rooms as needed, replacing linens, and identifying maintenance issues to report them for quick resolution. Additionally, the role requires operating heavy cleaning equipment such as floor polishers and carpet extractors, and stocking linen closets with necessary supplies.

This role demands physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods. You will be interacting with guests, greeting them warmly, and anticipating their needs to enhance their vacation experience. Job Requirements

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license is required
  • Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
  • Lift/carry/push/pull items that weigh up to 50lbs without assistance
  • Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy
  • Must adhere to company policies and safety procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality is an asset but not required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
  • Basic knowledge of heavy cleaning equipment operation
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Valid U.S. driver's license

Job Duties

  • Responds promptly to requests from guests and other departments
  • Delivers guest requests and sets up furniture items in guest rooms as requested
  • Identifies and reports preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms
  • Strip trash/dirty linen from assigned checkouts
  • Ensure correct inventory of pillows, duvet inserts, and toppers remain in the rooms/villas
  • Cleans and maintains assigned buildings/areas daily
  • Uses heavy cleaning equipment such as floor polishers, carpet extractors, etc.
  • Stocks linen closets in assigned areas daily with linen and supplies
  • Welcome and greet guests and anticipate and address their needs
  • Interact with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly
  • Contribute to team goals
  • Always follow company policies and safety procedures
