The role of Housekeeping Aide is crucial within MemorialCare's Laguna Hills facility, specifically in the housekeeping department. This full-time position with day shifts offers a competitive pay range between $22.00 and $28.64 per hour. The Housekeeping Aide is primarily responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitized, and disinfected environment within the hospital. This role requires following established cleaning schedules and utilizing appropriate cleaning methods and equipment to ensure a safe and healing space for patients, staff, and visitors alike. In addition to routine sanitary tasks, the aide assists with other housekeeping duties as assigned by the manager, supervisor, or lead person. The position involves responsibility for care and proper use of cleaning materials and equipment necessary to perform daily duties efficiently.
Key functions include demonstrating competency in cleaning procedures that meet departmental and hospital standards, promptly reporting unsafe conditions to management, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Two years of previous hospital and/or hospitality experience preferred
- Basic computer skills including email usage and computer-based training completion
- Strong employee engagement skills
- Ability to effectively multitask in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

Job Duties
- Perform cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfection functions in assigned hospital areas following established schedules
- Report unsafe conditions to management for corrective action

- Safely utilize and maintain housekeeping equipment in good operating order
- Assist in other housekeeping duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
- Demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, and responsibility in all tasks
