The Housekeeper position at Residence Inn by Marriott Atlanta Arpt North/Virginia Avenue is a full-time, non-management role primarily focused on maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and presentation of guest rooms and public areas during the evening shift. This role involves a variety of housekeeping duties, including responding quickly to guest requests, performing preventive maintenance identification and reporting, safely handling cleaning equipment and materials, and supporting overall property upkeep. Housekeepers are essential team members who contribute directly to guest satisfaction by keeping the hotel environment spotless, organized, and well-maintained.
In this role, the housekeeper is responsible for posting caution signs, liaising directly with other departments for urgent repairs, and managing the removal of waste, debris, soiled linens, and unused items from public spaces to service areas. Emphasis is placed on safety and adherence to company policies, ensuring personal and workplace safety, including proper storage of flammable materials and completion of required safety training.
Physically, the role requires the ability to move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 55 pounds independently, and heavier objects with assistance. Housekeepers must be comfortable pushing and pulling loaded carts over uneven surfaces, performing activities such as bending, twisting, reaching overhead and below the knees, stooping, and climbing ladders. The role also requires keen attention to detail to visually inspect tools and equipment for defects and maintain exceptional cleanliness standards. Speaking clearly and professionally and interacting warmly with guests, including those with disabilities, are vital to the position.

Job Requirements
- Ability to work full-time evening shifts
- Must not be located remotely
- Non-management position
- Willingness to complete safety training and certifications
- Ability to push and pull loaded housekeeping carts
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 55 pounds unassisted and over 55 pounds with assistance
- Capability to perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, stooping, climbing ladders
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience advantageous but not required
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards

- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting and moving objects

Job Duties
- Respond promptly to guest and department requests
- Identify and report maintenance issues in public areas and guest rooms
- Post caution signs to ensure guest and staff safety

- Deliver guest requests and set up furniture in guest rooms
