Job Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 35-50 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout shift
- Ability to work in areas with cleaning chemicals
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare, assisted living, or memory care preferred but not required
- Understanding of infection control and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and compassion
Job Duties
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas
- Clean dining rooms before, during, and after meals
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways, offices, activity rooms, laundry areas, and visitor spaces
- Follow infection control, safety, and OSHA guidelines at all times
- Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Launder linens and resident items as assigned
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to supervisor
- Interact respectfully and professionally with residents, families, and coworkers
- Work considerately around memory care residents, maintaining calm and reassuring behavior
