We are currently seeking a dependable and compassionate Housekeeper to join this dedicated team. The Housekeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for all residents, families, and staff members. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a compassionate approach, especially when working in memory care areas. The successful candidate will be expected to perform daily cleaning and sanitizing tasks in resident apartments, bathrooms, common areas, and other facility spaces such as dining rooms, hallways, offices, activity rooms, laundry areas, and visitor spaces. The Housekeeper must follow infection control, safety, and OSHA guidelines rigorously and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly. Responsibilities also include laundering linens and resident items, reporting maintenance issues or safety hazards, and interacting professionally with residents, their families, and coworkers. Due to the nature of the resident population, working considerately around memory care residents, maintaining a calm and reassuring demeanor, is essential. This role is a vital part of the team, ensuring that the living environment supports the health and well-being of everyone in the community. Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 35-50 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout shift
  • Ability to work in areas with cleaning chemicals

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare, assisted living, or memory care preferred but not required
  • Understanding of infection control and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and compassion

Job Duties

  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas
  • Clean dining rooms before, during, and after meals
  • Maintain cleanliness of hallways, offices, activity rooms, laundry areas, and visitor spaces
  • Follow infection control, safety, and OSHA guidelines at all times
  • Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Launder linens and resident items as assigned
  • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to supervisor
  • Interact respectfully and professionally with residents, families, and coworkers
  • Work considerately around memory care residents, maintaining calm and reassuring behavior
