The Westin Austin Downtown, part of the White Lodging portfolio, is currently seeking dedicated and motivated Housekeepers to join their team. As a Housekeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of the guest experience by ensuring the hotel environment is impeccably clean and welcoming. This role is not only about cleanliness but about anticipating and exceeding guest expectations to make their stay enjoyable and comfortable. In this role, you will be responsible for routine housekeeping duties including cleaning and restocking linen closets as well as ensuring the storage rooms are stocked with necessary linen and supplies. Additionally, you will manage the housekeeping carts by restocking them with clean, sanitized glasses and cups which are essential for guest needs. Keeping public spaces such as hallways, stairwells, offices, front office areas, and staff break rooms clean and presentable will also be a key responsibility. The role involves some physical activity including vacuuming, mopping, and the ability to lift and move items up to 25 lbs occasionally, which suits individuals who are active and detail-oriented.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in housekeeping or hospitality
  • Desire to provide excellent guest service
  • Ability to self-motivate and take initiative
  • Ability to use good judgement and critical thinking skills
  • Completion of certification training
  • Physical ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to stand and move for long durations

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in housekeeping or hospitality
  • Desire to provide excellent guest service
  • Ability to self-motivate and take initiative
  • Good judgement and critical thinking skills
  • Certification sign off after training
  • Ability to lift, carry or move up to 10 lbs regularly and 25 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Provide the highest quality of service to guests and anticipate and exceed guest expectations
  • Clean and restock linen closets, linen and storage rooms with linen and supplies
  • Restock housekeeping carts with clean, sanitized glasses and cups
  • Vacuum and/or mop hallways and stairwells
  • Clean offices, front office areas, and associate break room
  • Perform other duties as assigned
