Job Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- Suitable for federal employment determined by background investigation
- Selective Services registration required for males born after 12/31/1959
- Complete online onboarding process
- Provide acceptable identification as per agency policy

- Commitment to a 1-year probationary period
- Compliance with pandemic-related health protocols
- Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, pull and push continuously
- Ability to use powered cleaning equipment weighing over 50 pounds
- Ability to demonstrate visual acuity and hand-eye coordination
Job Qualifications
- Must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality to perform the work of this position
- Ability to perform janitorial and custodial duties effectively
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and products used in healthcare settings
- Ability to operate heavy powered cleaning equipment
- Must provide detailed descriptions of duties on resume
- Experience includes paid, unpaid, and volunteer work related to custodial tasks
Job Duties
- Perform floor maintenance, wall washing
- Clean doors, doorframes, baseboard corners and edges, and stairwells
- Empty trash and wastebaskets, replace liners
- Transport general refuse, regulated medical waste and recycling to central collection areas
- Clean restrooms, bathrooms, and shower rooms, ensuring that they are cleaned and meet acceptable standards
- Replenish supplies of paper towels, toilet paper, hand sanitizers, and soap in all areas where dispensers are located
- Move and arrange furniture, patient wardrobes, beds, etc. in the assigned area to accomplish cleaning tasks
