Key responsibilities include textile distribution and inventory management, sanitizing and disinfecting patient rooms and common areas, waste removal including medical waste, cleaning windows, walls, blinds, and furniture, and floor maintenance such as sweeping, scrubbing, polishing, and applying floor finishes.

The role demands physical stamina and dexterity, requiring continuous walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, and pushing. Use of heavy powered cleaning equipment like industrial buffers and wall washers is occasionally necessary.
