The position available is a skilled Cleaning Specialist or Custodian role that requires advanced training and demonstrated expertise in various cleaning and maintenance tasks. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM and offers an hourly wage of $20.00. The role involves inspecting completed cleaning projects within assigned buildings or properties, both indoors and outdoors, ensuring all cleaning standards are met and reporting any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors promptly. The cleaning duties are diverse, including sweeping, mopping, shampooing carpets, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, window cleaning, and restocking supplies. Additionally, the role requires careful handling of cleaning chemicals following OSHA guidelines and adherence to all safety and security protocols on the premises.
Beyond performing routine cleaning, the candidate will also maintain equipment, complete daily work orders, furnish and burnish floors, and assist in emergency cleaning situations. The job demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, handle tight spaces, navigate stairs and ladders, and work under varying environmental conditions. Previous custodial experience is preferred, especially in high-rise facilities, but not strictly required. Effective communication skills, a professional attitude, and strong customer service capabilities are important for maintaining good working relationships with building staff and supervisors.

Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedure
- Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time
- Crawl in small and tight spaces
- Ability to work in different environmental working conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain
- Walk and climb stairs
- Handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment
- Reach with hands and arms
- Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property and building as required
- Repeat various motions with wrists, hands, and fingers
- Complete all required forms
- Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner
- Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level up to 3 ft
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- Previous custodial experience preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required
- Previous experience in a high-rise setting preferred
Job Duties
- Performs a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties as assigned including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning
- Informs supervisor of needed supplies
- Maintains all cleaning solutions in accordance to OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals
- Removes trash from premises and assists in emergency cleaning
- Utilizes new equipment and follows safety procedures prior to use
- Maintains a friendly and professional attitude
- Maintains the appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas
- Inspects all assigned areas daily and reports cleaning and maintenance discrepancies to supervisor
- Ensures that security procedures are always adhered to
- Follows all safety precautions while performing work
- Maintains working relationship with building staff
- Furnishes and burnishes floors as required
- Completes daily work orders as scheduled
- Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition
- Cleans restrooms including sweeping and mopping floors, refilling dispensers, cleaning toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, counters and removing trash
- Reports any discrepancies or deficiencies to supervisor
