Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • minimum 1 year of housekeeping or custodian experience
  • ability to work assigned schedules and hours
  • capability to exert up to 25 pounds of force constantly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • willingness to handle possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or tissues
  • compliance with hospital safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1+ years of housekeeping or custodian experience
  • knowledge of cleaning equipment operation
  • understanding of hazardous and medical waste disposal procedures
  • ability to follow safety protocols
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Complete checklists accurately for shampooing, buffing, bed washing, furniture cleaning, and refrigerators
  • enter all work orders into the computer
  • operate cleaning equipment using proper procedures
  • follow proper disposal procedures for hazardous and medical waste
  • report broken equipment and damage to hospital property
  • provide a safe environment through proper operation, care, and storage of equipment
  • perform other duties as assigned
