The position involves a range of cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, waxing, disinfecting, and window washing in resident apartment homes as well as common areas like lobbies, restrooms, hallways, elevators, and stairwells. Additionally, the role includes managing waste disposal by properly emptying trash and ensuring waste materials are transported to designated disposal areas promptly. Regular reporting of maintenance and repair needs to the Executive Director and maintenance specialist is also a key responsibility, ensuring that any issues are addressed promptly to maintain the community's quality standards. The role demands a courteous and helpful demeanor with excellent customer service skills to interact effectively with residents and staff members. While no supervisory responsibilities are associated with this position, it requires the candidate to be organized, use good judgment, and work collaboratively as part of a team to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks efficiently. The physical demands of the job include standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds, requiring the use of various hand and power cleaning tools. The work environment is usually moderate in noise level, creating a comfortable setting for both staff and residents. Job Duties

  • cleans resident apartment homes - including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, disinfecting, washing windows
  • empties trash, waste and other disposable materials and transports to disposal area
  • may assist care staff with cleaning lobby, restrooms, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and common spaces
  • reports needed repairs to Executive Director and maintenance specialist
  • maintains a courteous and helpful demeanor when interacting with residents and staff
  • uses various hand and power cleaning tools to perform duties
  • follows safety protocols to ensure a safe environment
