Job Requirements
- Ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by department
- Capability to exert up to 25 pounds of force constantly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Willingness to potentially be exposed to blood, bodily fluids or tissues
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely
- Sufficient knowledge through in-services of cleaning procedures
- No more than one valid complaint regarding equipment use or waste disposal
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of housekeeping or custodian experience
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment operation and maintenance
- Understanding of hazardous and medical waste disposal procedures
- Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
Job Duties
- Complete cleaning checklists accurately for shampooing, buffing, bed washing, furniture cleaning, and refrigerators
- Enter all work orders into the computer
- Operate cleaning equipment using proper procedures as trained
- Follow proper disposal procedures for hazardous and medical waste
- Provide a safe environment through proper operation, care and storage of equipment
