Job Description
VCA is a leading provider of comprehensive veterinary services, dedicated to the health and well-being of pets and the clients they serve. As part of the Mars Veterinary Health family, VCA operates a network of hospitals and clinics that focus on delivering high-quality medical care through a compassionate and collaborative approach. Their commitment to excellence in veterinary care is complemented by a strong emphasis on employee development, safety, and support, creating an enriching environment for both staff and clients.
VCA is currently seeking a dedicated Housekeeping staff member to join their hospital team. This role is pivotal in maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients, clients, and associates alike. Although it is a non-clinical position, the housekeeping role is essential in upholding strict disease control protocols, ensuring that hospital operations run smoothly and efficiently. The responsibilities include facility cleaning, laundry services, general maintenance, and inventory management, such as receiving and stocking medical supplies.
The Housekeeping staff member is expected to demonstrate a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a deep commitment to VCA's values of delivering high-quality patient and client care. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in potentially challenging environments that may include exposure to allergens, odors, and animal waste. Attention to detail and strict adherence to cleanliness and safety standards are crucial. This full-time role operates within a schedule of Thursday through Sunday, from 5 am to 3 pm, offering a competitive hourly wage of $17.00 to $19.00, based on experience, with additional shift differentials for weekend work.
The position offers a supportive work environment that fosters collaboration and growth, providing employees with the tools needed to succeed professionally and personally. As part of the VCA team, housekeeping staff will have access to comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, continuing education opportunities, and wellness resources. VCA values diversity and inclusion and encourages team members to contribute to their associate-led initiatives. This role is ideal for individuals who are compassionate about animals, enjoy working in a healthcare setting, and thrive in a team-oriented environment dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of pets and their owners.
