Operating under multiple region-specific names including Advocate Health Care in Illinois, Atrium Health across the Carolinas, Georgia, and Alabama, and Aurora Health Care in Wisconsin, this expansive system is a recognized leader nationwide in clinical innovation, health outcomes, consumer experience, and value-based care. Advocate Health is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, and serves nearly 6 million patients. The system is actively engaged in hundreds of clinical trials and research studies, with Wake Forest University School of Medicine serving as the academic core. Known for its expertise in specialties such as cardiology, neurosciences, oncology, pediatrics, rehabilitation, organ transplants, burn treatments, and specialized musculoskeletal programs, Advocate Health has an extensive reach with 155,000 employees across 69 hospitals and more than 1,000 care locations. It also hosts one of the nation's largest graduate medical education programs, with over 2,000 residents and fellows in more than 200 programs. The organization is committed to equity in healthcare and contributes over six billion dollars annually in community benefits.

The role also includes sorting, stocking, and delivering linens, cleaning and preparing dismissal and transfer units and certain patient equipment, filling and cleaning supply dispensers, conducting inventory of linens, cleaning and paper supplies, and maintaining an organized housekeeping closet. The technician must report any mechanical failures or unsafe conditions to their supervisor.

This role demands a hands-on physical capability, including lifting items up to 35 pounds from floor to five feet high, carrying items up to 20 pounds at waist height, pushing and pulling with up to 50 pounds of force, and the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach above shoulders, and crawl as necessary. The individual must also be comfortable wearing protective clothing due to exposure to strong cleaning solutions and infectious waste, and capable of operating various cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, mopping tools, buffers, automatic scrubbers, and stepladders. Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately are essential for ensuring seamless collaboration with medical staff and adherence to safety protocols.
