The Housekeeping Associate position is a critical role within the Operations Department at Great Park Ice & Sports Complex. This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility. The successful candidate will perform various housekeeping duties designed to ensure safety and comfort for guests and staff, addressing general facility cleaning needs and responding promptly to service requests. They must demonstrate the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, the Housekeeping Associate will be entrusted with cleaning diverse areas such as offices, locker rooms, restrooms, food service areas, bleachers, corridors, and more.

This role offers a starting hourly pay rate of $22.50 and requires a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays. It is ideal for individuals who have a keen eye for detail, are highly organized, and possess a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence. The candidate will be expected to operate various cleaning machinery and adhere strictly to OSHA regulations and facility safety standards by using appropriate personal protective equipment. Beyond regular cleaning duties, the Housekeeping Associate will assist in setting up events and meetings and participate in regular maintenance meetings and company training sessions designed to enhance their skills and facility knowledge.

Job Requirements

  • minimum of one year’s experience in a similar commercial housekeeping setting
  • knowledge of sanitation products, techniques, and methods

  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Responsible for performing general housekeeping duties in offices, locker rooms, restrooms, showers, food service/concession areas, bleachers, elevators, corridors, stairways, player benches, and lobbies
  • respond to calls for housekeeping, including spills and broken glass, in a timely fashion
  • operate an assortment of driven and/or pushed cleaning equipment, floor scrubbers, and carpet extractors
  • perform interior/exterior window cleaning as required
  • adhere to all OSHA regulations by using the proper PPEs (personal protective equipment) and following facility safety standards
  • spot sweep, vacuum, and keep all surfaces clear of debris
  • restock and organize cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment to maximize efficiency
  • assist with setting up for special events and meetings as needed
  • participate in weekly/biweekly maintenance meetings and attend company Power Play training sessions
  • report any facility deficiencies to the Facilities Manager
  • other duties as assigned
