The Courtyard Salinas branch of Highgate Hotels is currently seeking a dedicated House Attendant to maintain and uphold the cleanliness and operation of assigned areas within the hotel. The role is hourly, starting at $15.00 per hour, and entails responsibilities including the delivery of items like express checkouts and newspapers to guest rooms. The House Attendant is integral to the guest experience, ensuring the hotel environment remains pristine and inviting by buffing marble floors, shampooing carpets and furniture when necessary, and handling lost and found items responsibly. This role requires physical stamina to manage tasks such as lifting up to 100 pounds and standing for the entire shift. Additionally, the House Attendant supports luggage assistance and participates in maintaining hotel equipment and storage in proper conditions. Collaboration with the Housekeeping Manager to complete special projects and a solid understanding of emergency procedures are also key components of the position. The role demands effective verbal and written communication skills to engage attentively and courteously with both guests and employees, fostering an overall atmosphere of satisfaction and hospitality excellence.
