We are currently seeking a PRN Housekeeper to join our team. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The role involves performing a variety of housekeeping duties including cleaning resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other facility spaces according to established schedules and procedures. As a PRN (pro re nata or as-needed) housekeeper, the candidate will have the flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and potentially during emergency situations such as severe weather or evacuations.

The PRN Housekeeper is expected to follow strict infection control protocols and use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to disinfect surfaces, handle infectious waste safely, and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations. They will work closely with nursing and other departments to coordinate cleaning tasks without disrupting resident care. This position demands a high level of attention to detail, physical endurance, and the ability to cope with sometimes stressful and emotionally charged interactions with residents, their families, and staff. Successful candidates should be capable of working independently while demonstrating flexibility and strong communication skills.

This role involves physical tasks including moving intermittently throughout the workday, lifting supplies or equipment up to 20 pounds, and coping with exposure to cleaning chemicals, odors, and other environmental conditions. It also includes responsibilities such as reporting incidents, maintaining accurate work schedules, and participating in ongoing educational programs to stay current with housekeeping best practices and safety standards.
