Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • Ability to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Ability to perform visual inspections involving close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Willingness to follow safety and security policies
  • Flexibility to work full-time or part-time schedules

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, stooping, and balancing
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment usage

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, vacuuming or washing floors, removing trash from guest rooms, and dusting and polishing guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance, including cleaning sliding doors, air conditioning grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding exterior areas
  • Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards, even if area is not specifically assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of safety or security policy violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Provide superior customer service when interacting with guests
