This role includes performing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks throughout assigned areas such as apartment homes, common areas, lounges, and offices. The successful candidate will be responsible for sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming floors and rugs, as well as cleaning and sanitizing lavatory fixtures and other facilities. Additional duties include managing housekeeping equipment, collecting trash, handling community laundry, and ensuring compliance with safety and fire codes.\n\nThis role requires someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and dedicated to contributing positively to residents' quality of life. The Housekeeper must be able to interact courteously and kindly with residents, guests, and staff, demonstrating both professionalism and a genuine care for the senior community. Physical requirements involve regular standing, walking, lifting, and reaching, making physical stamina important. This job offers full-time and part-time schedules with flexible options, paid training, and opportunities for advancement in a supportive and purpose-driven workplace.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively speaking the primary language of the residents
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Must demonstrate an interest in working with a senior population
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms regularly
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently
  • Ability to sit occasionally
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Specific vision abilities required including close and color vision

Job Duties

  • Performs cleaning duties according to schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) in assigned areas such as apartment homes, common areas, lounges and offices
  • Sweeps, dusts, dust mops, and wet mops all floors and stairways
  • Spot cleans and vacuums floors, rugs, carpets and runners
  • Rotates runners in hallways and entryways
  • Cleans, sanitizes, and polishes lavatory, shower and sink fixtures and facilities
  • Stocks dispensers as necessary
  • Scrubs bath and shower room tiles, woodwork, window frames, and sills
  • Maintains equipment and materials needed to perform work in a clean and orderly condition
  • Collects trash and refuse from work areas and places in designated pick-up areas
  • Responsible for collecting, cleaning and redistributing the community laundry
  • Maintains the commercial laundry in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition
  • Ensures cleaning chemicals are stored and locked when not in use
  • Ensures cords, carts, equipment and other hazards are kept out of the way at all times in compliance with fire codes
  • Reports repairs and supply and equipment needs to the Lead Housekeeper
  • Performs other duties as assigned
