The Housekeeper role is crucial to the overall guest satisfaction and operational excellence of the hotel. As a full-time Housekeeper, you will play a vital part in upholding the property’s high cleanliness standards and ensuring each guest room meets the specified preparation and sanitary guidelines. The Housekeeper's responsibilities extend beyond routine cleaning, demanding a thorough understanding of the hotel’s operation procedures and room standards. You will be expected to perform detailed dusting and cleaning of all furnishings within guest rooms, replenish supplies and amenities, and accurately assess and report any damages or malfunctions. Attention to detail is critical, especially when inspecting rooms to meet quality assurance standards and preparing them for guest check-in. Additionally, this role requires the ability to handle guest requests promptly and address any complaints effectively, maintaining a courteous and helpful demeanor at all times.
Maintaining cleaning carts and supplies in an organized and safe manner is also part of the daily duties, alongside adhering to all hotel policies, emergency procedures, and uniform requirements. The job includes responsibilities for laundry and public area cleaning, as well as occasional deep-cleaning assignments. Flexibility in working hours is necessary to accommodate the hotel's operational needs, and candidates must be willing to align with the mission, values, and vision of the company.
This position requires vigorous physical activity, including pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 40 pounds. Applicants must also tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures and long periods of standing or walking. Familiarity with laundry room equipment such as washers and dryers is preferred but not mandatory. The overall work environment entails active interaction with coworkers and guests while working safely with chemical cleaning agents and vacuuming tools.

Job Requirements
- Minimum high school education
- Prior housekeeping or hotel experience preferred
- Must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop, and reach upwards
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Must tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures
- Must tolerate prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Must follow all hotel policies and procedures
- Must wear uniform and nametag
- Ability to handle guest complaints professionally
- Must maintain personal cleanliness
Job Qualifications
- Minimum high school education
- Prior housekeeping or hotel experience preferred
- Prior knowledge of operating laundry room dryers and washers desired but not required
- Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, and reach upwards
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures
- Ability to tolerate prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail

Job Duties
- Have a good understanding of all of hotels operating procedures
- Be knowledgeable of rooms types and standards for supplies
- Check the general condition of the room and notify the Housekeeping Supervisor of any malfunction or damage
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, replenish supplies and amenities, inspect and report rooms ready for sale to the front desk all in accordance with hotel’s training and standards
- Dust and clean all furnishings in guest room including the television, desk, desk chair, desk lamp/shade, air conditioner unit, head boards, night stand, wall picture, wall lamp/shade and window ledge
- Maintain cleaning supplies and the cleaning cart in safe, organized and presentable fashion
- Ensure prompt and systematic servicing of all guest requests
- Handle guest complaints effectively
- Promote goodwill by being courteous, friendly and helpful to guests, managers and all other associates
- Team work
- Organization and thoroughness: preparing bedrooms in the specified length of time whilst respecting internal hotel procedures
- No service rooms must be approved by inspector or front desk
- Must wear uniform and nametag
- Must follow all policies and emergency procedures of the hotel
- Discretion: not disturbing guests
- Laundry and public area cleaning
- Must maintain personal cleanliness
