The housekeeping department plays a critical role in upholding our hotel’s reputation by ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are spotless and inviting. As a Housekeeper at our hotel, you will be an essential part of the team responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the property. This role requires a diligent individual who understands the importance of attention to detail and is capable of following established hotel operating procedures. You will be expected to have a good understanding of various room types and the standards for supplies to ensure that every guest room meets our quality expectations. Your daily tasks will include cleaning and sanitizing guest rooms, replenishing supplies and amenities, and inspecting rooms to report any maintenance issues or damages. The role also involves dusting and cleaning all furnishings in guest rooms, such as televisions, desks, chairs, lamps, air conditioning units, headboards, nightstands, wall pictures, wall lamps, and window ledges. Maintaining cleaning supplies and carts in an organized and safe manner is also a key responsibility.

Customer service is an important aspect of this role, as you will handle guest requests promptly and effectively, as well as manage any complaints in a professional and courteous manner. Promoting goodwill through friendly and helpful interactions with guests, managers, and colleagues is highly valued. Teamwork is essential, as you will collaborate with other staff members to meet the hotel’s cleanliness standards while preparing bedrooms efficiently within the specified time. Additionally, adherence to the hotel’s policies, emergency procedures, and uniform standards is mandatory. Housekeepers must exercise discretion to avoid disturbing guests, and they will also assist in laundry and public area cleaning duties. Flexibility in working hours and a commitment to the company’s mission, values, and vision are necessary qualities for success in this role.

Deep cleaning responsibilities will be assigned as needed, and other duties may be designated by supervisors. The position demands physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, push, pull, bend, stoop, and reach. Housekeepers will need to be comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures and spending prolonged periods standing or walking. Experience with laundry room equipment is desirable but not mandatory.
