We are currently seeking a full-time Housekeeper to join our dedicated housekeeping team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring guest rooms and public areas are kept impeccably clean and organized, supporting the overall guest experience. The position offers a competitive salary of $16 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package that begins 30 days after employment commencement. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing guest rooms according to the hotel’s established standards and procedures. You will replenish supplies and amenities, inspect rooms to ensure they are ready for sale, and promptly report any damages or malfunctions to the Housekeeping Supervisor. Your duties will include dusting and cleaning furniture and fixtures, maintaining the cleaning cart and supplies, responding systematically to guest requests, and handling guest complaints with professionalism and courtesy.

This role demands excellent organization, thoroughness, and teamwork. You will need to prepare bedrooms within specified timeframes while following internal hotel protocols. Adherence to the dress code, including wearing a uniform and nametag, and compliance with all hotel policies and emergency procedures, are mandatory. The job also requires discretion to avoid disturbing guests, the ability to perform laundry and public area cleaning tasks, and a commitment to personal cleanliness.

Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours and embrace the mission, values, and vision of the company. Deep cleaning assignments will be part of your responsibilities as well. Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with operating laundry dryers and washers is a plus but can be learned on the job.

Physical demands include the ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, reach upwards, lift up to 40 pounds, tolerate extreme temperatures, and stand or walk for prolonged periods. The work environment involves interaction with co-workers and guests and handling cleaning chemicals and equipment such as vacuum cleaners and brooms. Job Qualifications

  • Minimum high school education

Job Duties

  • Have a good understanding of all of hotels operating procedures
  • be knowledgeable of rooms types and standards for supplies
  • check the general condition of the room and notify the Housekeeping Supervisor of any malfunction or damage
  • clean and sanitize guest rooms, replenish supplies and amenities, inspect and report rooms ready for sale to the front desk all in accordance with hotel’s training and standards
  • dust and clean all furnishings in guest room including the television, desk, desk chair, desk lamp/shade, air conditioner unit, head boards, night stand, wall picture, wall lamp/shade and window ledge
  • maintain cleaning supplies and the cleaning cart in safe, organized and presentable fashion
  • ensure prompt and systematic servicing of all guest requests
  • handle guest complaints effectively
  • promote goodwill by being courteous, friendly and helpful to guests, managers and all other associates
  • teamwork
  • organization and thoroughness: preparing bedrooms in the specified length of time whilst respecting internal hotel procedures
  • no service rooms must be approved by inspector or front desk
