Job Description

Our establishment is a reputable hotel dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences through impeccable service and hospitality. We value a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all our guests, and to maintain this high standard, we are seeking a full-time Housekeeper to join our dedicated team. Our hotel is known for its commitment to quality and guest satisfaction, offering a friendly work atmosphere where every employee plays a vital role in the overall guest experience. The position is a full-time role with a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, critical and accident insurance, paid time off, and hotel discounts. As a Housekeeper in our hotel, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms and public areas. Your role is crucial in ensuring that guests have a pleasant and comfortable stay. The Housekeeping team is expected to have a strong understanding of all hotel operating procedures, be knowledgeable about room types, and maintain supplies according to hotel standards. You will clean and sanitize guest rooms, replenish supplies and amenities, inspect rooms, and report their status to the front desk. Attention to detail is essential as you will dust and clean furnishings including televisions, desks, lamps, air conditioning units, headboards, nightstands, wall pictures, and window ledges.

The role also involves maintaining cleaning supplies and carts in a safe and organized manner, handling guest requests promptly, and managing any complaints with professionalism and courtesy. Being friendly and helpful towards guests, managers, and colleagues is a key component of the job, as teamwork and positive interactions contribute greatly to the hotel's welcoming environment. Housekeepers must adhere to the hotel's uniform and nametag policies, emergency procedures, and respect guest privacy by not disturbing them unnecessarily.

The role requires organization and thoroughness, including preparing bedrooms efficiently within specified timeframes while following hotel protocols. Housekeepers are also responsible for laundry and public area cleaning, maintaining personal cleanliness, and working flexible hours. Occasionally, the role may require deep cleaning duties as assigned. Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school education
  • Prior housekeeping or hotel experience preferred
  • Must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop and reach upwards
  • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
  • Must tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures
  • Must tolerate prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
  • Willing to work flexible hours
  • Must embrace the Mission, Values, and Vision of the company

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum high school education
  • Prior housekeeping or hotel experience preferred
  • Prior knowledge of operating laundry room dryers and washers desired but not required

Job Duties

  • Have a good understanding of all of hotels operating procedures
  • Be knowledgeable of rooms types and standards for supplies
  • Check the general condition of the room and notify the Housekeeping Supervisor of any malfunction or damage
  • Clean and sanitize guest rooms, replenish supplies and amenities, inspect and report rooms ready for sale to the front desk all in accordance with hotel’s training and standards
  • Dust and clean all furnishings in guest room including the television, desk, desk chair, desk lamp/shade, air conditioner unit, head boards, night stand, wall picture, wall lamp/shade and window ledge
  • Maintain cleaning supplies and the cleaning cart in safe, organized and presentable fashion
  • Ensure prompt and systematic servicing of all guest requests
  • Handle guest complaints effectively
  • Promote goodwill by being courteous, friendly and helpful to guests, managers and all other associates
  • Team work
  • Organization and thoroughness: preparing bedrooms in the specified length of time whilst respecting internal hotel procedures
  • No service rooms must be approved by inspector or front desk
  • Must wear uniform and nametag
  • Must follow all policies and emergency procedures of the hotel
  • Discretion: not disturbing guests
  • Laundry and public area cleaning
  • Must maintain personal cleanliness
  • Willing to work flexible hours
