As a Full-Time Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas. This role requires a deep understanding of the hotel’s operating procedures and standards to ensure that every room meets the expectations of guests. You will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing guest rooms, replenishing supplies and amenities, and conducting inspections to ensure rooms are ready for sale. Your attention to detail extends to dusting and cleaning all furnishings, including televisions, desks, lamps, air conditioner units, headboards, nightstands, and window ledges. Maintaining the organization and safety of cleaning supplies and equipment, such as the cleaning cart, is also a key responsibility.
Efficiency and teamwork are important in this role, as is the ability to handle guest requests and complaints promptly and courteously. You are expected to promote goodwill by being friendly and helpful to guests, managers, and colleagues alike. Additionally, the Housekeeper must follow the hotel's policies and emergency procedures, wear the designated uniform and nametag, and demonstrate discretion by minimizing disturbances to guests. Flexibility in working hours and willingness to perform deep cleaning tasks when assigned is expected.

Job Requirements
- Must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop and reach upwards
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
- Must tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures

Job Qualifications
- Minimum high school education
- Prior housekeeping or hotel experience preferred
- Prior knowledge of operating laundry room dryers and washers desired but not required
Job Duties
- Have a good understanding of all of hotels operating procedures
- Be knowledgeable of rooms types and standards for supplies
- Check the general condition of the room and notify the Housekeeping Supervisor of any malfunction or damage
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, replenish supplies and amenities, inspect and report rooms ready for sale to the front desk all in accordance with hotel’s training and standards
- Dust and clean all furnishings in guest room including the television, desk, desk chair, desk lamp/shade, air conditioner unit, head boards, night stand, wall picture, wall lamp/shade and window ledge
- Maintain cleaning supplies and the cleaning cart in safe, organized and presentable fashion
- Ensure prompt and systematic servicing of all guest requests
- Handle guest complaints effectively
- Promote goodwill by being courteous, friendly and helpful to guests, managers and all other associates
- Team work
- Organization and thoroughness: preparing bedrooms in the specified length of time whilst respecting internal hotel procedures
- No service rooms must be approved by inspector or front desk
- Must wear uniform and nametag
- Must follow all policies and emergency procedures of the hotel
- Discretion: not disturbing guests
- Laundry and public area cleaning
- Must maintain personal cleanliness
- Willing to work flexible hours

- Deep clean when assigned
