The role of Room Attendant at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego is essential to maintaining the hotel's reputation for cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This position primarily involves ensuring that guest rooms meet the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort according to established hotel guidelines. Responsibilities encompass cleaning guest rooms thoroughly, including tasks such as changing linens, making beds, vacuuming floors, dusting surfaces, and sanitizing bathrooms. Room Attendants also ensure that all amenities and supplies are fully stocked in guest rooms, providing everything a guest might require during their stay.

In addition, the Room Attendant is responsible for identifying and reporting maintenance issues or damages promptly to the appropriate personnel to maintain the quality and safety of the accommodations. This role also requires courteous and timely responses to any guest requests or inquiries about their rooms, thereby enhancing the overall guest experience. Addressing any guest concerns related to room cleanliness or amenities with professionalism and empathy is a critical part of the job, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to exceptional customer service.

This position offers an hourly wage of $27.50, with individual pay decisions influenced by experience, qualifications, education, and the operational needs of the hotel. The typical work shift is from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM as needed. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting pulling and pushing
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Clean and tidy guest rooms according to hotel standards including changing linens making beds vacuuming dusting and cleaning bathrooms
  • Ensure all amenities and supplies are replenished in guest rooms
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages to appropriate personnel for prompt resolution
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests or inquiries
  • Address any guest concerns regarding room cleanliness or amenities in a professional manner
