This position is for a Room Attendant at one of Hyatt's properties located in a stunning setting offering an unobstructed ocean view in Southern California. This role is pivotal in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms, ensuring they meet Hyatt’s high standards and creating an environment that echoes the Southern California Dream for guests. The Room Attendant will be responsible for daily cleaning tasks, adhering to a checklist and room allotment requirements while also offering thoughtful touches that enhance the guests’ stay, such as arranging personal items and ensuring rooms are welcoming upon arrival. Candidates should have previous cleaning experience and the ability to communicate effectively with guests. The position is fast-paced, requiring physical endurance to walk extensively during shifts and to lift moderate weights regularly. This is an on-call, seasonal role expected to continue through Labor Day 2026, offering an hourly wage of $21.50. The role provides room for collaboration with housekeeping and front office teams to meet guest preferences and special requests effectively. Job Requirements

  • Must have previous cleaning experience
  • must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • must be able to read, understand, interpret and carry out directions
  • must be able to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • must be able to walk and stand at least 95 percent of the shift
  • must be able to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, twist, and carry
  • must be able to use hands for manual activities
  • maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness
  • excellent team player with positive and helpful attitude
  • must be able to work independently with minimum or no supervision

Job Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Clean guest rooms daily ensuring all areas are completed in the designated timeframe
  • ensure that all guest rooms are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • provide thoughtful touches to enhance the guest experience such as arranging personal items, closing curtains, and placing bedside mats
  • work closely with the housekeeping and front office teams to ensure guest preferences and special requests are met
  • complete daily checklists and assigned room allotments
  • maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness
  • adapt to daily work tasks to meet business needs
