This 71-room property is characterized by its charming layout across five distinct buildings, each contributing to an intimate and culturally rich guest experience. We are currently seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our dedicated team. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction that Hotel Saint Augustine is known for. The Housekeeper will play a key role in ensuring all guest rooms, public spaces, exterior areas, and back-of-house locations meet the hotel's cleanliness standards. This position requires an individual with excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of safety and health protocols, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. As part of the role, you will be responsible for adhering to established guidelines set forth by the hotel, Bunkhouse, and governmental health agencies. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Ability to follow safety and hygiene protocols
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- One (1) year of related experience in the hospitality or service industry preferred
- Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Must be able to perform the essential physical functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation (e.g., lifting moderate items, standing, walking, bending, and reaching as required)
- Flexible availability, including AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Responsible for cleaning of guest rooms, public spaces, exteriors and Back of House daily
- Continually maintain inventory of linens, cleaning supplies and guest amenities to ensure adequate supplies in accordance with established par levels and timeframe
- Maintain the storage rooms with at least one (1) par clean at all times
- Report and correct any deficiencies noted in guest rooms or public areas to the appropriate individuals
- Assist in the timely completion of all projects including mattress rotation, window washing, deep cleanings, etc.
- Notify Housekeeping Supervisor and/or immediate supervisor about any guest rooms that need to be placed out of order for maintenance concerns
- Maintain a positive relationship with employees and guests
