Job Requirements
- minimum one year prior housekeeping experience
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- availability to work 7 am to 3:30 pm shift including every other weekend
- ability to perform physically demanding cleaning tasks
- successful completion of background criminal history check
- pass pre-employment drug test
- complete TB skin testing upon hire
- compliance with federal CMS COVID-19 vaccination mandate or approved exemption
- willingness to work in a healthcare environment
Job Qualifications
- minimum one year prior housekeeping experience
- experience working in a long-term care facility or hospital preferred
- knowledge of stripping and waxing floors, carpet extraction and bonnet cleaning
- ability to use cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
- good communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- ensuring the facility is kept clean by dusting, mopping, sweeping, damp/wet mopping, polishing, scrubbing, vacuuming, trash removal and removal of bio-hazard waste
- keeping assigned areas clean and attractive
- promoting sanitary conditions to prevent the spread of infection
- ensuring all equipment is in working order
- completing daily routine cleaning tasks
- performing cross-trained environmental services duties as needed
- maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations
