The Housekeeper/Laundry Aide role at Skylake Post Acute is a vital part-time position, scheduled from Tuesday to Thursday, 2 pm to 10 pm, with competitive pay ranging from $18.00 to $19.00 per hour. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents by performing thorough housekeeping duties and assisting with laundry tasks. Specifically, the role involves cleaning and sanitizing residents' rooms, including vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, dusting, and collecting linens. Additionally, the aide is responsible for the housekeeping of hallways and common areas as directed by a supervisor, ensuring all work aligns with priorities set by leadership. Transporting clean and soiled linens and providing laundry support when needed are also key responsibilities. The role requires physical stamina to lift and move up to 25 pounds and the ability to perform tasks such as sitting, kneeling, standing, walking, reading, hearing, and using housekeeping supplies and equipment daily. Job Requirements
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to regularly sit, kneel, stand, walk and talk, read or hear
- Must be able to daily use housekeeping supplies and equipment
- Must be available to work Tuesday to Thursday from 2 pm to 10 pm
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
- Must comply with all health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a healthcare setting is beneficial
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with staff and supervisors
- Ability to work part-time on scheduled days and hours
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly
Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in residents' rooms such as vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and dusting of all cleared flat surfaces and sanitizes
- Collect community resident linens
- Perform general housekeeping duties of hallways and common areas as directed by supervisor
- Accomplish all work in the order of priority set by supervisor
- Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
- Transport clean and soiled linen to the housekeeping room
- Help with laundry as needed
