Job Description
Peace River Center (PRC) is a community-focused healthcare organization dedicated to providing comprehensive behavioral health services. Established to support individuals with mental health disorders and special needs, PRC is committed to fostering an environment of care that is safe, respectful, and inclusive for all clients, staff, and visitors. As a well-respected center in the healthcare industry, PRC emphasizes core values such as dignity, respect, and professionalism in all aspects of its operations. With a team-oriented culture, Peace River Center strives to deliver high-quality services and supports ongoing professional development for its workforce.
This position involves the responsibility of ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of the Peace River Center environment. As a Housekeeper, the role is essential in creating and maintaining a well-kept atmosphere conducive to the care and comfort of clients and a productive workplace for staff. The position requires adherence to Peace River Center's core values, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Employees in this role must exhibit professionalism, punctuality, and a commitment to quality within deadlines, often without direct supervision.
The role entails daily housekeeping duties in a fast-paced office environment, with exposure to clients who may present with unique, challenging behaviors such as agitation or confusion. Physical demands include walking, standing, and bending for extended periods, as well as handling cleaning equipment and chemicals. The Housekeeper must participate in all required training sessions and Center functions related to housekeeping services to maintain high standards and comply with organizational policies.
This position requires knowledge of workplace safety, including compliance with OSHA regulations and universal precautions, as well as the ability to utilize commercial cleaning tools and chemicals effectively. The candidate must be able to professionally communicate with team members and external vendors, manage time efficiently, and handle changes in work assignments positively. Reliable transportation is necessary, along with the capability to use technology, such as the Microsoft Authenticator app, for organizational communication and payroll access when a company-issued phone is not provided.
At Peace River Center, the Housekeeper plays a vital role in upholding a safe, dignified, and respectful environment that reflects the organization's commitment to diversity and inclusivity. This is an in-person position that offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the well-being of a diverse community within a professional healthcare setting.
