Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper to join the team at a condominium complex located in the vibrant area of Waikiki. This residential community prides itself on providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for its residents and guests. Situated in one of the most desirable locations, the complex features a range of amenities and common areas that require meticulous upkeep to ensure the satisfaction and comfort of all who live and visit here.

As a Housekeeper at this condominium, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of common areas including offices, staff rooms, and shared facilities such as the dog park, elevator areas, lobbies, and parking garage. The role demands a hardworking individual who takes initiative, is dependable, and thrives as a team player. Reliability and attention to detail are essential as you will be responsible for the overall appearance and sanitation of multiple high-traffic areas.

This position is hourly with a pay rate of $17 per hour, and the work schedule will be determined based on operational needs to accommodate the maintenance demands of the complex. The Housekeeper is expected to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of environmental cleaning practices including the proper use and safety handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Inventory management is also a key responsibility; you will need to monitor daily housekeeping supplies and report shortages to maintain consistent stock levels and ensure uninterrupted cleaning operations.

Physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks are required. This includes frequent walking, bending, climbing stairs and ladders up to 10 feet high, and moving items such as boxes, furniture, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Adaptability and willingness to learn all aspects of housekeeping duties are important as you may need to fill in for other staff members during their absence. Effective communication skills, both oral and written, are necessary for understanding instructions, reporting issues, and collaborating with supervisors and colleagues.

The Housekeeper will be entrusted with a variety of cleaning duties from dusting television monitors to disinfecting surfaces, vacuuming amenity rooms, emptying trash bins, polishing floors, and caring for indoor plants. Special attention is given to areas like stairwells, parking areas, and elevator tracks, which must be kept clean and presentable at all times. Job Duties

  • Dust all television monitors and television equipment
  • wipe and clean all glass doors and windows
  • vacuum and clean all amenity rooms including counters, furniture, microwaves, sinks and walls where needed
  • arrange tables and chairs
  • empty trash bins around the building
  • clean and disinfect dog park
  • dust, wipe and arrange furniture in lobby areas
  • water potted plants
  • sweep, dust and vacuum lobby areas
  • dust mop and mop where needed
  • clean and polish floors as directed
  • vacuum all carpet and entry mats throughout the building
  • clean elevator tracks
  • sweep stairwells and wipe stairwell railings
  • sweep parking garage including guest stalls and common areas
  • clean assigned garage parking level
  • vacuum and wipe tables in living room areas
