The Housekeeper/Groundskeeper plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall upkeep of Harmac’s industrial facilities. This full-time position is essential for ensuring that the facility meets stringent health and safety standards, creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all employees and visitors. The role involves a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, including waste removal, floor care, disinfection of equipment, and grounds upkeep, among other responsibilities.
This position starts at a paying range of $17 to $19 per hour and operates primarily during the first shift. The Housekeeper/Groundskeeper will be responsible for routine housekeeping duties both inside and outside the facility. Tasks include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming floors; preparing cleaning solutions; disinfecting work areas; emptying trash receptacles including outside waste containers; and keeping drains free of debris. The role also demands adherence to safety and hygiene in all activities, mindful of the company’s high standards.
Ideal candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED and at least one to three months of related experience or equivalent training. The role demands physical stamina and the ability to carry out duties that involve standing, walking, lifting up to 35 pounds, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Effective communication skills are necessary to understand instructions and interact smoothly within the organization.

Job Duties
- Remove trash from outside grounds
- empty waste containers from outside areas
- clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
- mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
- disinfect equipment and supplies
- clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met
- empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas
- keep drains free of debris
- demonstrate Harmac’s core values of honesty, integrity, and respect
- perform other duties as assigned
