With offices strategically located throughout North America, Europe, South America, and the Asia-Pacific region, Greystar stands as the largest operator of apartments in the United States, overseeing over one million rental units and beds on a global scale. The company’s commitment to excellence is demonstrated through its management of nearly $79 billion in assets, comprising $35 billion in development assets and over $36.5 billion in regulatory assets. The role of a Cleaner at Greystar is crucial to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and visual appeal that the company’s properties are known for. This position focuses on ensuring the overall cleanliness and pristine appearance of vacant apartment homes, leasing offices, clubhouses, and other communal amenities. Cleaners are responsible for daily upkeep, including the cleaning of common-area restrooms, model units, and vacant homes, as well as the regular freshening of show units throughout the day. This attention to detail helps maintain the property's market-ready appeal, directly impacting resident satisfaction and community reputation.

In addition to cleaning responsibilities, Cleaners support the make-ready process following additional instructions from the Service Manager, Community Manager, or Assistant Manager. This collaborative effort ensures that properties meet or exceed quality standards before new residents move in. The role also requires vigilance to identify and report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors, enhancing safety for residents, staff, and visitors alike.

Physical demands for this position are significant and require individuals to be able to stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods, as well as bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and navigate confined spaces. Cleaners must also be prepared to work in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, and sleet. The ability to lift or maneuver weights up to 25 pounds independently, and up to 50 pounds with assistance, is essential. This role may occasionally require travel to assist other properties, attend training sessions, or participate in business meetings to support operational excellence across Greystar’s portfolio.

This is a full-time hourly position with a pay range of $15.25 to $16.50 per hour, subject to factors such as business needs, prior experience, skill level, and geographical location. Greystar offers additional compensation opportunities, including eligibility for bonuses on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual basis, depending on role and performance.

Working at Greystar comes with a robust benefits package for full-time employees, including competitive medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. New hires start with generous paid time off that consists of vacation days, personal days, sick days, and paid holidays, with additional vacation accrued based on tenure. There are also onsite housing discounts available at select Greystar-managed communities. Employees benefit from a 6-week paid sabbatical after 10 years of service and every 5 years thereafter, a 401(k) plan with up to 6% company match after six months, paid parental leave, and fertility benefit reimbursement. Additional benefits include an Employee Assistance Program, critical illness and accident insurance, pet insurance, and legal plans. Greystar promotes diversity and equal opportunity, welcoming qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other legally protected characteristic. The company prioritizes employee safety and integrity, emphasizing secure communication and cautioning against fraudulent interview requests.
