We are currently seeking applicants for part-time Housekeeper Utility positions based at Florida Coast Medical Center, located at 310 Southeast Veranda Falls Way, Port Saint Lucie, FL 34984. This role offers an hourly pay rate of $17.00 and requires one year of prior utility experience. As a Housekeeper Utility, the individual will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within healthcare facility areas, ensuring equipment is clean, orderly, and properly maintained to support a safe and sanitary environment. This part-time position features a variable schedule that may include rotating weekends, providing flexibility while contributing to vital healthcare support services. The Housekeeper Utility will be responsible for servicing and maintaining cleaning equipment, stocking cleaning supplies, managing storerooms, and handling waste disposal including bio-hazardous materials in accordance with stringent safety protocols. The position demands mechanical aptitude to fix and maintain equipment, vigilance to identify safety hazards, and the ability to perform various duties as assigned to uphold the standards of cleanliness and operational safety. Candidates should be capable of extended walking and standing, able to push heavy containers weighing between 50 and 100 pounds, and possess effective communication skills in English for following written and oral instructions. This role is integral to the healthcare setting, as it supports the frontline of environmental services that directly impacts patient and staff well-being.
