As a Housekeeping Associate at The Waymark, you will be expected to clean and service assigned guest rooms promptly while adhering to hotel cleaning procedures and standards. In addition, you will be responsible for keeping your linen cart organized, stocked, and neat to facilitate smooth daily operations. Reporting maintenance concerns such as issues with fixtures, door locks, televisions, and HVAC systems is part of your duties, ensuring guest comfort and safety.
Security is paramount in this role. You will be responsible for the safekeeping of any equipment, keys, and cleaning supplies issued to you. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work full time
- Strong attention to detail
- Good physical health and stamina
- Ability to follow safety and cleaning procedures
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an asset but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Customer service skills
Job Duties
- Cleaning and servicing assigned guest rooms in a timely and organized manner following procedures and hotel standards
- Keeping an organized linen cart that is neat well stocked and organized
- Reporting any areas within guest rooms that need attention such as fixtures door locks televisions HVAC
- Maintaining security of your equipment key and supplies issued to you
- Reporting lost and found articles to your supervisor
- Responding to guest requests in a friendly and timely manner
