The View on Collins in Lansing, Michigan is currently seeking a full-time Housekeeper to join their team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the excellent presentation and cleanliness of the property to enhance resident satisfaction and property appeal. As a Housekeeper at The View on Collins, you will be responsible for ensuring that vacant apartment homes, leasing offices, clubhouses, and other common areas and amenities are spotless, inviting, and ready for prospective residents and guests. The role requires daily cleaning duties as well as support in make-ready processes for apartments, helping to uphold high standards of property maintenance.
This position operates on a regular schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and the compensation ranges between $17.00 and $18.25 per hour. Additional compensation may include eligibility for weekly, monthly, or quarterly bonus programs based on both individual and company performance. The Housekeeper will work both indoors and outdoors, manage cleaning inventories, and communicate any safety hazards to supervisors promptly. This role is integral to fostering a welcoming and pristine environment for residents and visitors alike, and as such, attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive work ethic are essential qualities for success in this job.

Job Requirements
- valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property
- ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods
- ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, crawl in confined spaces
- able to work in all weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, sleet
- able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance
- willingness to travel rarely to assist other properties or attend training
- flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- ability to operate a golf cart on property with a valid driver's license
- strong attention to detail
- good communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- clean the leasing office, clubhouse and common-area restrooms, model units, amenities, and vacant apartment homes daily or as directed
- ensure all vacant apartment homes and show units are refreshed throughout the day to maintain market-ready appeal
- assist in the make-ready process by performing additional duties requested by supervisors
- report any hazards or potentially dangerous situations to supervisors
- maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when re-ordering is necessary
