Job Description

Crothall Healthcare is a leading specialized services provider exclusively serving the healthcare industry. As a part of Compass Group, the world’s largest foodservice and support services company, Crothall Healthcare has built a reputation for delivering high-quality, innovative environmental services tailored to meet the unique needs of healthcare facilities. With nearly 30,000 team members supporting approximately 1,300 accounts, many of which are recognized among the nation’s top hospitals, Crothall Healthcare thrives on a culture built on caring for people and creating a true sense of belonging. The company champions teamwork, responsibility, and excellence, all while fostering professional growth and empowerment. Their services extend beyond environmental services to include patient transportation, patient observation, facilities management, healthcare technology solutions, ambulatory services, and sterile processing, showcasing their comprehensive commitment to improving patient care environments.

Currently, Crothall Healthcare is hiring for temporary Housekeeper positions to be based at St. Louis Children's Hospital located at 1 Children's Place, Saint Louis, MO 63110. This role offers an hourly pay of $16.50 and operates on various temporary time schedules, including day, evening, and night shifts from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, and 11:00 pm to 7:30 am respectively, with days and hours varying including rotating weekends. The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining clinical and non-clinical areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition to promote a positive healthcare environment. The position requires prior cleaning experience and strong customer service skills.

This job offers a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients, their families, and the entire hospital community. By joining Crothall, employees benefit from working in a supportive, mission-driven culture that values attention to detail and the pursuit of excellence. Housekeepers contribute directly to patient safety and satisfaction by performing light cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning washrooms, making beds, linen management, and responding promptly to housekeeping issues. The role demands professionalism and a customer-first mindset to ensure that every interaction with patients, visitors, and hospital staff is positive and supportive.

Crothall Healthcare also emphasizes team collaboration and continuous growth within its workplace. The company provides competitive pay, a variety of shifts to accommodate diverse scheduling needs, and a wide range of benefits including retirement plans, health and wellness programs, pet insurance, legal services, and much more for full-time associates. The organizational commitment to equal employment opportunity means that all applicants and employees are treated fairly regardless of race, age, gender, disability, veteran status, or other legally protected categories.

This position requires applicants to be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, underscoring Crothall's dedication to inclusivity and compliance with employment laws. All applicants must apply online, and hiring is conducted on a rolling basis until all vacancies are filled. Candidates who may not be selected immediately are encouraged to reapply for future openings.
