Job Description
PruittHealth is a renowned healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to individuals in need of nursing and rehabilitation services. With a commitment to excellence and a family-centered approach, PruittHealth operates numerous nursing centers and long-term care facilities across the United States. Known for fostering a compassionate and supportive environment, PruittHealth strives to make a meaningful difference in the lives of its residents, their families, and its employees. The organization emphasizes teamwork, professional growth, and a dedication to quality care, making it a trusted name in the healthcare sector.
The role of Housekeeping Supervisor at PruittHealth is a critical position responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department within a nursing center. This position entails organizing, supervising, and directing the duties of housekeeping staff to ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. The supervisor will coordinate daily activities of housekeeping partners, inspect and monitor housekeeping services to uphold high standards, and address any deficiencies promptly to comply with facility and regulatory guidelines. This role requires an individual who can evaluate employee performance effectively and identify areas where additional training is necessary, ensuring continual improvement and adherence to best practices.
Beyond managing daily operational aspects, the Housekeeping Supervisor participates in departmental budget planning and supply management, maintaining adequate stock levels of cleaning materials and safety equipment. The supervisor also enforces safety protocols, ensuring all housekeeping partners use proper personal protective equipment and follow safety guidelines, thereby reducing occupational risks associated with bodily fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals. The role demands a hands-on leader capable of performing all housekeeping duties alongside their team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
This position is an excellent opportunity for those with a background in healthcare housekeeping supervision or related fields, particularly within hospitals, long-term care centers, or similar healthcare environments. While on-the-job training is provided, preferred candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of supervisory experience in healthcare housekeeping. Training in environmental control practices, though optional, is considered advantageous. PruittHealth prides itself on being an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring all qualified candidates receive fair consideration regardless of race, religion, gender, or veteran status.
Joining PruittHealth means becoming part of a family dedicated to making a difference through loving, giving, and caring. The organization values its employees and strives to create a workplace that nurtures professional growth and personal fulfillment. For those passionate about maintaining a clean and safe healthcare environment and who are eager to lead a team toward excellence in housekeeping services, this role offers a meaningful and rewarding career path.
