Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Prior supervisory experience in housekeeping
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of infection control procedures
- Ability to use computers and word processing software
- Ability to work full-time including weekends
- Ability to pass preemployment screening including background check, drug test, and physical
- Willingness to comply with vaccination inquiry if applicable
- Compassionate and enthusiastic attitude towards senior care
Job Qualifications
- High school education is required
- Good oral and written communication skills are essential
- Prior housekeeping supervisory experience in a retirement community, hotel, or healthcare setting is required
- Knowledge of housekeeping and infection control procedures required
- Special courses in housekeeping or institutional management are desirable
- Must be able to competently demonstrate computer and word processing skills
Job Duties
- Supervises the performance of all housekeepers through personal inspections of apartments and Health Center rooms as assigned
- Assists in the recruitment of staff, training, evaluating and disciplining all housekeepers
- Keeps required records, reports and studies
- Coordinates annual apartment cleanings with the Environmental Services Director
- Coordinates department functions with those of other departments
- Conducts inventories of all housekeeping supplies and places monthly orders for all housekeeping supplies
- Coordinates the scheduling of all apartment cleaning and special cleaning projects
- Performs the duties of a housekeeper as necessary
