Job Description

Shamin Hotels is a leading hospitality company with a rich legacy rooted in entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to excellence. Founded in 1978 by P.C. Amin and B.N. Shah, who combined their names to create Shamin Hotels, the company has grown from purchasing a single bankrupt hotel in Lumberton, North Carolina, to becoming the largest hotel owner and operator in Virginia. Today, Shamin Hotels operates over 70 hotels across multiple states, providing quality accommodations and exemplary service to guests nationwide. With a commitment to fostering career growth and employee satisfaction, Shamin Hotels prides itself on promoting from within and creating an inclusive workplace that values diversity and opportunity.

The Housekeeper position at Shamin Hotels is a vital role within the Operations Department, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas. This hourly, paid bi-weekly role requires attention to detail and dedication to ensuring guests have a comfortable, welcoming environment during their stay. As a Housekeeper, you will perform a variety of cleaning duties including making beds, replenishing supplies, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing equipment, as well as cleansing hallways, restrooms, and lounges. Your efforts directly contribute to the hotel’s reputation for quality and guest satisfaction.

Working as a Housekeeper at Shamin Hotels means you are part of a team that values collaboration, responsibility, and passionate service. You are expected to wear a uniform, arrive on time for scheduled shifts, and adhere to all company policies and procedures. The role demands reliability, efficiency, and a positive attitude towards guests and colleagues alike. Additionally, safety is paramount; therefore, proper use and handling of cleaning chemicals in accordance with material safety data sheets is mandatory.

This position offers numerous benefits for full-time employees such as health, dental, vision, accident, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and a 401K plan with company match. Employees also enjoy discounts on hotel stays, merchandise, gym memberships, and more. For part-time associates, there are options to enroll in various insurance plans. Beyond the tangible benefits, Shamin Hotels provides a supportive environment for professional development and career advancement, encouraging employees to grow alongside the company’s expanding portfolio.

If you are detail-oriented, enjoy working in a team environment, and take pride in delivering high-quality service, the Housekeeper position at Shamin Hotels offers a rewarding opportunity.
