The role of Housekeeper at Sunrise Senior Living is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, their families, and the care team. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring resident suites, bathrooms, common areas, and offices are spotless, sanitized, and well-maintained. This position requires attention to detail, respect for residents' privacy, and adherence to health and infection control standards. Housekeepers help create a comfortable living space that supports the dignity and safety of seniors, making them feel at home. Responsibilities include cleaning and polishing fixtures and furniture, managing laundry services within the community, and maintaining clear and safe hallways and equipment storage. The role demands teamwork, compassion, and reliability to uphold the high standards of Sunrise Senior Living. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous housekeeping or cleaning experience
  • ability to follow instructions and maintain sanitation standards
  • respect for resident privacy and dignity
  • physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members
  • willingness to comply with infection control protocols

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Clean resident suites, bathrooms, common areas, and offices
  • sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas
  • clean and polish fixtures, furniture, and surfaces
  • knock before entering resident rooms and respect privacy
  • collect trash and maintain clean disposal areas
  • sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute community laundry
  • inspect linens for wear and follow replacement procedures
  • store chemicals safely and follow infection control standards
  • keep carts, equipment, and hallways clear and compliant
