The role of Housekeeper at Sunrise Senior Living is integral to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the community. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for creating a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for the residents. This involves cleaning resident suites, bathrooms, common areas, and offices. Your daily tasks will include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing assigned areas, as well as cleaning and polishing fixtures, furniture, and surfaces. Respecting the privacy of residents by knocking before entering rooms is an essential part of the role, alongside collecting trash and maintaining clean disposal areas. You will also manage community laundry duties such as sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and clothes. Inspecting linens for wear and adhering to replacement procedures ensures that residents have access to fresh and clean materials. Strict adherence to infection control standards and safe chemical storage is required to provide a healthy environment. Keeping carts, equipment, and hallways clear and compliant with safety standards is also part of your daily responsibilities.
