The Guest Room Attendant role at the Omni Corpus Christi Hotel is integral to upholding the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and guest service. This position is responsible for ensuring each guest room is impeccably maintained, addressing both the needs of guests continuing their stay and preparing rooms for new arrivals. Guest Room Attendants play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment through comprehensive cleaning practices such as bed making, dusting, vacuuming, and bathroom sanitation. Additionally, they manage the replenishment of room supplies to meet guests’ needs promptly and efficiently.

The role involves strict adherence to Omni Safe and Clean processes, ensuring all cleaning and safety protocols are consistently followed. Attendants are expected to maintain a professional, neat, and organized appearance that reflects the hotel’s standards. Furthermore, the job includes regular communication regarding room status, managing equipment, handling emergency or safety situations swiftly, and participating in departmental trainings to stay updated on best practices. This position requires a dedicated, detail-oriented individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the overall guest experience and operational excellence of the Omni Corpus Christi Hotel.

Job Requirements

  • Prior housekeeping experience or other relevant environmental services experience
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor

  • Prior housekeeping experience required or other relevant environmental services experience
  • Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift
  • Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead and squatting
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times and high-profile events, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities
  • Must possess the ability to handle stressful and busy hotel operations
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure at all times
  • Must have the ability to report to work on time and when scheduled
  • Must have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • Must meet standards of appearance and maintain a high level of personal hygiene at all times

Job Duties

  • Thoroughly clean guest rooms including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting
  • Uphold Omni Safe and Clean processes
  • Restock and replace used items within guest rooms
  • Communicate clean status of each room upon completion
  • Remove room service trays and tables from guest rooms
  • Stock supply cart and ensure that it is neat and well organized at all times
  • Check all equipment prior to and after use to ensure that it is in good working order
