Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
- ability to clean technically complex areas such as IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, ED
- ability to operate light floor cleaning equipment
- physical ability to lift and transport patients in emergencies
- physical requirements including reaching, standing for long periods, squatting, bending, carrying or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 pounds or more up to 80% of the time
- ability to climb ladders
- willingness to wear required protective equipment and clothing
- valid Indiana driver’s license and proof of insurance
- no prior experience required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- ability to operate floor cleaning equipment
- knowledge of sanitization procedures
- ability to wear required protective gear
- physical stamina to perform cleaning duties including lifting and climbing
- willingness to work a scheduled Monday-Friday shift with every other weekend
- valid Indiana driver’s license and proof of insurance
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize occupied patient units, office areas, clinics, treatment and procedural areas, and public spaces
- remove refuse and soiled linens promptly and safely
- operate light floor cleaning equipment for patient care areas
- adhere to safety protocols including wearing protective equipment and clothing
- assist in emergency patient transport if required
- maintain cleaning supplies and equipment inventory
- comply with environmental and government regulations regarding sanitation and safety
