Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in housekeeping or environmental services
- Ability to use various cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of cleaning techniques and sanitation standards
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 25 lbs), and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
- Reliability and punctuality
- Basic communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in housekeeping or environmental services, preferably in a residential, hospitality, or healthcare setting
- Proficiency in using various cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of cleaning techniques and sanitation standards
- Excellent attention to detail and a thorough approach to work
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time efficiently
- Basic communication skills to interact with team members and residents
- Experience working specifically in a senior living facility or assisted living environment preferred
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to cleaning and chemical handling preferred
- Ability to read and understand cleaning instructions and safety data sheets (SDS) preferred
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) preferred
Job Duties
- Perform daily cleaning tasks in common areas, including lobbies, hallways, dining rooms, and restrooms
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms/apartments, ensuring privacy and respect for personal belongings
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop all floors and surfaces to maintain cleanliness
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces as needed
- Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal areas
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Adhere to strict health, safety, and infection control policies and procedures
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items to management promptly
- Interact respectfully and professionally with residents, visitors, and staff
