This position is a part-time Housekeeper role, designed to uphold the high standards of cleanliness and comfort expected by Kinseth Hotel Companies. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining guest rooms to ensure an inviting, spotless, and pleasant environment for all guests. Compensation for this role is $16.10 per hour, offering competitive starting wages aligned with the industry and company standards. In this role, the Housekeeper will perform a comprehensive set of cleaning duties involving guests’ rooms, bathrooms, and public areas. The scope of work includes cleaning surfaces, changing linens, dusting furniture, vacuuming, replenishing room amenities, and ensuring the organization of the housekeeping closet. The housekeeper must respond efficiently to guest requests and follow safety protocols, including chemical safety and reporting any hazardous conditions or suspicious activities. This role demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and adherence to Kinseth Hotel Companies’ policies and procedures to consistently deliver exceptional housekeeping services. It involves working in fast-paced and physically demanding settings typical of the hotel industry, necessitating frequent lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, standing, and walking throughout the shift.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior housekeeping experience preferred
  • Must have communication skills
  • Ability to respond quickly and efficiently to guest requests
  • Physical ability to perform frequent lifting, bending, twisting, pushing/pulling, standing, and walking
  • Adherence to safety and chemical handling procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physical environment
  • Willingness to complete paid training
  • Commitment to guest satisfaction and teamwork

Job Qualifications

  • Must have communication skills
  • Prior housekeeping experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counter and floor surfaces
  • Strip and make beds and change bed linens
  • Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges and shelves thoroughly
  • Make up rollaway beds and cribs in vacated rooms and notify house attendants for storage
  • Vacuum entire room thoroughly
  • Empty all trash and replace liners if applicable
  • Replenish amenities, linens and supplies in guest rooms
  • Complete special projects as assigned
  • Ensure neat and organized housekeeping closet on assigned guest floor
  • Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion
  • Sign for room keys and obtain housekeeping cart
  • Restock housekeeping cart for following day
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to all guest requests
  • Practice chemical safety rules and follow procedures for needles and hazardous materials
  • Report suspicious persons, activities or hazardous conditions to Security Department
  • Turn in all items found in working area to Hotel Lost and Found
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
