As a Housekeeper Public Space at MVW, you will play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all public and employee areas within the resort or vacation property. Your daily responsibilities will include cleaning and stocking restrooms, cleaning glass surfaces, floor care, dusting, trash removal, and replenishing towels and disinfecting wipes in locker rooms and fitness centers. You will also assist guests by maintaining pool towel availability and ensure all public space areas meet the company’s high standards for cleanliness and safety.

This role goes beyond cleaning; it requires interaction with colleagues and guests to ensure warm and professional greetings, anticipating guest needs, and contributing to a positive guest experience that aligns with Marriott Vacations Worldwide’s commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction. The role may also require a background and drug screening as per company policy and legal requirements.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Clean and stock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and Kleenex in public and employee restrooms and showers
  • clean glass in public and employee areas
  • clean floor surfaces in public or employee spaces using designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment
  • dust surfaces in assigned areas
  • empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns in public areas into proper containers
  • clean floors, hand out pool towels, and rearrange chairs as needed
  • replenish towels and disinfecting wipes in locker rooms and fitness centers, remove dirty towels
  • report any engineering work orders in public areas
  • welcome and greet guests and anticipate and address their needs
  • interact with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly
  • contribute to team goals
  • always follow company policies and safety procedures
